Budget Friendly Meals the Whole Family Will Love
Are you tired of spending too much money at the grocery store? I know I am! So today I went to the grocery store on a mission. That mission was to feed 6 people several yummy meals for around 30 bucks. I actually spent $31.18 click here to see what I bought. Of course I will be using some things I already have at home like spices, etc. And remember that the things like potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, cornmeal and baking spray will have multiple uses besides the recipes I make now. Tonight we are having Smoked Sausage and Kale Soup and you can get the recipe for that here. I will be modifying this post as I turn this shopping trip into more yummy meals. Stay tuned.
Update: The other two of the three meals for 6 people for around 30 bucks are Stuffed Cabbage (Lahana Dolmasi) and April’s Alabama Red Beans and Rice. You can click on those links to get the recipe. I spent $31.18 for the ingredients and a couple of the things that I bought (the cornmeal mix and the baking spray) were not used. Those two items were about 5 dollars. I also still have carrots, celery, onions and beans that were not used so the way I figure it is pretty accurate. I could have made beans and cornbread and got another meal out of this deal. I did use some olive oil, garlic, spices, milk, cheese, tomato paste, bulgur, rice and half of a red, yellow and orange bell pepper which would about equal out to what I didn’t use of the products purchased.
