This recipe for Easy Skillet Rolls with Pepperoni Jalapeno Cheese Dip is perfect for tomorrow’s Super Bowl Sunday which is going on here in the USA. People everywhere are flocking to the supermarkets and Wally World (aka Wal-mart) to stock up on snacks for the big game. The good thing about this recipe is that I already had everything on hand in my fridge and pantry to make this pan of ooey-gooey deliciousness! I had already planned to make a loaf of Easy Yeast Bread and decided that I would just make the loaf a little smaller and use some of the dough for a quick and easy appetizer. I had seen some similar Skillet Bread and Dip combos on Pinterest but wanted to use what I had at home. After a quick scan of my fridge, this is what I came up with. Words can’t describe how delicious it tasted. You will just have to try it for yourself. Afiyet Olsun!
Start out with some pepperoni, sweet yellow peppers and jalapeno peppers in a cute cast iron pan. If you don’t have one you can definitely use another type of pan.
Add some yummy yeast rolls round the edge of the pan.
Top it all with some Monterey Jack Cheese (Pepper Jack would be great too!) and place in an oven that has been pre-heated to 400 degrees and bake about 20 minutes or until golden.
What you get is a flavor explosion of gooey goodness!
- 12 Balls of Dough from my Easy Yeast Bread Recipe (about ⅓ of the dough)
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 Sweet Yellow Peppers
- 2 Tablespoons Pickled Jalapeno Rings
- 20 Pepperoni Slices
- 8 Ounces Monterey Jack Cheese, Cubed
- Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Place a small pan of water in the corner of the oven. This will produce steam which will help the dough rise.
- Saute the yellow pepper, jalapenos, and pepperoni in 2 Tablespoons of the olive oil in the skillet.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Take about ⅓ of my Easy Yeast Bread Recipe and shape into 12 balls.
- Place the dough balls around the edge of the skillet.
- Add the cheese to the center of the skillet covering all the pepperoni ingredients.
- Drizzle the remaining 1 Tablespoon olive oil over the dough balls.
- Place the skillet into the pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Afiyet olsun!
