Biscuits with butter and jelly are one of my favorite breakfast combinations. If you like biscuits, you are going to love this recipe. It is quick and easy and can be made in the bowl. No need to roll them out. Just put all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well, shape into biscuits and bake about 15 minutes. These were so good with butter and fig jelly but they would have been great with some gravy too. I was making Menemen, a Turkish egg dish, Sunday morning and decided what better to go with them than some good ol biscuits. It was a match made in heaven. I usually don’t eat breakfast during the week because I am usually in a hurry to get out of the house in the mornings but these biscuits are so effortless that you could make them any day of the week. You could even double the recipe, par-bake and freeze the extra ones. Then all you would have to do is take them from freezer to oven for a quick and easy breakfast. They would also be great if you cooked up some Cubed Steak or Salmon Patties and gravy for dinner. Try my recipe, I think you will like it. Afiyet olsun!
