Çoban Salatası or Shepherd’s Salad
Çoban Salatası or Shepherd’s Salad is a delicious salad to accompany grilled meats or grilled fish. It gets it’s name from the fact that the Çoban or Shepherd’s could easily carry the ingredients for this salad with him into the mountains and be able to easily prepare the salad on the spot. This also goes well with Gozleme, Pide or Lahmacun.

Ingredients
- 2 Large Tomatoes
- 2 Medium Cucumbers
- 1 Small Onion
- 2 Long Green Peppers
- 1 Lemon
- 4-6 Tablespoons Olive OIl
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Chop the tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and green peppers and place in a salad bowl.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Juice the lemon and pour over the salad.
- Drizzle with Olive oil.
- Stir well. Serve at room temperature. Afiyet olsun!
